The Baldons play old style village cricket. Apart from our annual participation
in 'The Cricketer' sponsored 'National Village Knockout', we play friendly
matches against other local villages and various touring teams. Particular
attention is paid to producing the best tea in the land and although the
pavilion cannot live up to this billing, it has recently been redecorated and
plans are under way for a new one. The village green is a superb place to watch
as well as play cricket and with The Seven Stars, only 100yds away, providing
excellent hospitality it makes for a great Sunday afternoon.
